Being in Trento for the Festival dello Sport, organized by La Gazzetta dello Sport, was a great opportunity to share my approach to alpinism. On stage, I spoke about some of the key experiences of the past years, but above all about the vision behind every project I take on: a continuous search guided by clarity, consistency, and responsibility.
During the talk, I described how each climb begins with an intuition that needs to be cultivated with discipline and patience, and how mental preparation plays a decisive role when you move in places where uncertainty is the rule. I also discussed the importance of staying true to your direction, even when it doesn’t follow the trends of the moment, and how alpinism remains, before anything else, a way to understand the world.
The interaction with the audience in Trento was genuinely stimulating: thoughtful questions, real curiosity, and a sense of attentive listening. The atmosphere of the festival shows how this world still has a lot to say, especially when its voice stays authentic.
