The Courage to Change Course
Stefano Ragazzo is an Italian alpinist, UIAGM-certified mountain guide, and founder of Alpine Vibes. Born in Padua, he left the security of a stable job to pursue his passion for mountains and exploration, embarking on a career that has led him to climb some of the world’s most iconic faces. Among his most notable achievements are the first solo ascent of the “Eternal Flame” route on Nameless Tower in Pakistan and the solo ascent of “The Nose” on El Capitan in Yosemite.
Exploratory Alpinism and New Challenges
Stefano Ragazzo divides his time between Chamonix and the Dolomites, balancing personal climbing with his work as a mountain guide. In recent years, he has focused on exploratory expeditions in alpine and big-wall styles, opening new routes on untouched peaks in Nepal and Alaska. In 2022, alongside Silvia Loreggian, he opened the “Sato Peak” route on an unclimbed mountain in the Kangchenjunga region of Nepal. In 2023, they completed the “Gold Rush” route on Cemetery Spire in the Kichatna Mountains of Alaska.
